I have been working in the Hair and Beauty industry since 2016 and opened up my own salon 'Amy Louise' in Accrington in 2020. Within the last 8 years I have built up an amazing clientele and can not wait for you to come and visit my unique salon. From 2015 to 2019 I completed my level 2 Media Hair and Makeup, Level 2 and 3 Hairdressing qualifications as well as completing embedded courses on Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR), Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (CoSHH) and Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA).
Whilst working on these 3 main courses I also completed 6 short courses within other areas of the beauty industry. These included; 2 Blackburn College accredited courses in pedicures and full body swedish massage, a Saint Tropez spray tan course courtesy of Alan Howards, private training in Hot Stones massage, and 2 Face the World courses; face the world holistic facial and the moroccan candle light back massage. As well as attending specialised Wella training courses to provide you with the best colour service I can provide. In 2022 I completed my acrylic nail course by Glitterbels and in 2023 I am completeing a Lash training course by Tatti Lashes.
In 2020-2022 I completed my teacher train and currently also work in a local college as a Hair and Beauty Tutor. This keeps me conected with the current trends and correct techniques to give you all the best styles available. You may even see a student come into the salon for work placement from time to time.
I still intend to take part in many other short courses throughout my career to keep up to date with the latest trends and services. So keep an eye on my website and social media pages to see the latest treatments available.
